Hmmm. He forgot to include "unless he's a newspaper publisher editorializing against my war."

Default The other Lincoln quote, used by FoF

Upon hearing that Samuel Morse had perfected the telegraph, President Lincoln remarked, "Seems like that thing could be used for gambling. We need to pass the Wire Act of 1861."

Tuff!

He also posted the pictures of my minor daughter.

My wife was pissed at that! She wanted to know if he had a signed release! I convinced her that since it was a public event and posted not for profit, Tuff was safe.

I'm not sure of the law and don't want a debate on the matter as she occasionally reads this forum.

Arrrg..!

My apologies to your wife (and daughter). I thought it was a fun shot since Laura seemed to really be enjoying the event. I mean, how many twelve year olds get to brag that they were out hobnobbing with congressman?

Tuff

PS: Other postings on 2+2 can demonstrate that posting pictures of your daughter can be hazardous. But Daughter Fish is 26 and can take care of herself.

No worries dude, that was her initial reaction.

Once Laura started showing her friends that she is "published" on something other than facebook all problems and any issues were resolved. Besides you meant no harm.

Laura even has her own phone pics of her and Chris discussing Boure a cajun form of poker he seemed quite interested in, asking at one point if if could be played with three, once it became clear Laura fully understood the game.

So don't fret a bit, you know you are cool with me,

Default Boure

Boure is a great game. I used to play it frequently.

I am not sure there is a market for it, not counting Louisiana unfortunately.

(Basically, it is a match-the-pot draw game, with the most money paid by losing participants in a given hand having to match the pot. It CAN be adapted for poker.)

Wow, the US is so far away from this in so many ways.
Sigh.
