Girls are weird.

Met girl 2 years ago and was best friends with her all of last school year. We are both seniors in high school. During our friendship, I was always too much of a pansy to try and move it forward and thus remained in friend zone for the entire duration. I discontinued communication with her in late June, and she went the classic girl approach and kept on trying to talk to me online and whatnot.

Finally in August she stopped and gave up on it I assume. I was completely over it, she got a boyfriend(first one that she had for the entire time of me knowing her) and he was 22 and she 17. Then in December she started trying to talk to me online again, and I was generally nice in talking to her, and then finally droped the hammer in saying I don't want to be friends with you, I'll talk to you online but I don't want to be friends. She didn't like that and finally stopped talking.

Then last night, she decided to find me on myspace(we're not friends on it, so it's not like she randomly saw a bulletin of mine and thought "hey i wonder if he's going to prom") and our conversation so far goes(bottom-up):

Is she really trying to get me to ask her? WTF? My thoughts when she said "why wouldn't i ask if you were going to prom", well, uh, I haven't been your friend since last June...

Where is she going with this? What should my response be to not completely rule out the possibility, because if I have no one else might as well have a fall-back plan.
