Don't let them get you down OP. While not great by any means, your second set of exchanges with this girl were much better than one in the original post.

At least this time you were direct with her about what you were thinking, rather than doing the passive/aggressive thing. Maybe you were a little too much of a dick here, but at least you weren't a pansy like before.

I think this situation was just destined to end poorly no matter what because of the way everything happened between you two previously.

In the future though, I'd put on an attitude where you're still nice to her, but you just seem completely over her and uninterested.

If you actually have prospects elsewhere then I'm fine with it. But if not this was a bad blunder.

Playing the hard to get as a guy route really never works. I tried it for a long time with no avail. It only worked for me once and that was this past weekend, but that was under extreme circumstances.... i.e. alcohol, Vegas, and she was already staying at my house and we didn't have enough bed space.
