Default Anyone In The Strip Club Buisness?

Me and my girlfriend want to open up a strip club/restaurant/brothel/ (ahnuld says say no to drugs)

.... in Cambodia (probably be Phnom Penh)

mediocre size? What are we talkin like 100k USD here? I doubt anyone here could come up with a very good estimate, but any estimate is appreciated

More importantly, how feasible is this? The plan would be to move there, learn the language for like 6 months, then buy a place I guess and renovate, which could take like 6 months to a year or something. How's that sound?

Is it necessary to buy a place, or can it be rented? I'd fear locking in a rental contract, then after renovating the place, getting kicked out or something, I have no idea how this stuff works.

Please do some more research before posting things like this.

The best part of the post is "I have no idea".

Well it could potentially be quite a time saver if some guy came on and said "You're gonna need like 300k to fix up the bar and kitchen alone"

I wouldn't even bother entertaining the idea further if this was the case

Did you even bother googling "Cambodia Economy"? It's one of the poorest countries in the world.

According to the CIA fact book, the tourist industry in Cambodia is booming.

Well I didn't google it, but I've been there for a few weeks fwiw, yes I know it's poor. That's the attraction really, along with the ample amount of tourism

I don't think this is serious, but anyways from the Dept of State website -

"Penalties for possession of, use of, or trafficking in illegal drugs in Cambodia are severe, and convicted offenders can expect long jail sentences and heavy fines. "

I got the feeling while I was there this won't be a problem. I expect it will be a matter of giving the cops like 10 bucks or something ridiculous, not sure yet though

I was shown and offered giant bags of weed and other stuff in broad daylight many times while there

Although I may just have to turn a blind eye to dealers dealing in our club. This is probably a much safer idea
