reinstall Firefox and only install the extensions that you need or just uninstall extensions. You can back up all your Firefox data... recently Firefox has become a bit buggy but there working to fix that I believe.

If you don't know what extensions are, you probably don't have any installed.

I don't know if there is a solution for this. Get more RAM? My FF does the same thing but I have enough RAM so it doesn't bother me.

Firefox uses a lot of RAM and has a number of memory leaks. Its just the way it is.

which reall effects how things run on my pc |

My firefox uses up quite a lot too, but my PC has 2GBs of RAM so it doesn't affect anything.

Firefox does have memory leaks but this doesn't explain why his cpu usage is so high. Demon, I think you may have issues with your PC other than Firefox.
Please submit a HijackThis log if you're interested in diagnosing this problem. In your post include what type of processor you have, amount of RAM, how full your hard drive is, and how long it has been since you defragged. |
