Default Some thoughts on propping

Getting a very high RB is great, but my question to other's who have propped for ages, is what happens when/if the site you are propping for ever gets enough traffic that it doesn't need shills anymore?

Am I correct in guessing that in most cases, the props (who were solely responsible for holding a site together during the growing years) get the boot? Or is it an issue that depends site to site, with some getting to keep their original plan as a token for being loyal and helping out during the ruff times.

Stories good & bad anyone?...

It depends on the site. Party fired their props but all other sites I can think of kept their props as they are often neutral value for the site. Look at AP and how bad they needed props to fill the lost numbers after the cheating scandal. You never know when they may need them again.

I wasn't under the impression Absolute needed props after the scandal. But what I did hear over and over is that the props there were definitely getting cheated way back from day one. So good luck getting them back NOW....

Shame the hand histories were deleted, but maybe someone here who propped from them in the day still has them indexed somewhere. Oh well, this is almost getting too deep into another side-story... But interesting nevertheless.
