I just assume an unknown is bad until opposite proven.

I'd normally raise the flop lead.

I don't think this line is bad. I think I'd raise less on the turn in hopes of getting a larger range to call the raise.

this hand looks like a train-wreck waiting to happen.

nvm, thought the 3 was paired on the flop, not the 2.

You should assume the opposite. It will save you lots of money in the long run.

You played it fine. I don't agree with raising the flop since you are likely WA/WB and you'd like him to continue betting. You can make a case for just calling the turn since it looks like you have a stubborn overpair or a wrap. If the stacks were deeper I might raise less on the turn but I don't think there's any point when he's only got $85 behind if you make as little as a min-raise.

this is not a good 3betting hand pre flop IMO - if he decides to play back, you are priced out of hitting your hand and have to fold

i also agree with Remple that you should always give unknowns the benefit of the doubt
