3/6NL: KK in 4-bet pot facing turn push
Villain is 19/17/11 after 306 hands. I've been playing pretty tight and haven't gotten out of line. This is the first time in recent memory that I'd 3bet him, and definitely the first time he 4bet me preflop. I'm having a hard time believing I'm ahead -- the only hand I can think of that I might be ahead of is AhKx. Thoughts?

y check flop? [/ QUOTE ] I feel like is range is pretty heavily skewed toward QQ+ with some AK in there. I think QQ and AA are most likely given the size of his 4bet (QQ b/c he wants to see if I have AA or KK, AA because he has the nuts). There aren't any cards I'm worried about seeing on the turn so there seems to be no real danger in checking, and I'd like to see what he does on the next card. |

also after turn push it looks like villain was trying to induce on flop and now just wants to get it all in since it didnt work.

I doubt so much that he overbet shoves QQ, TT, flush, etc. Getting almost 2:1 and with a lot of potential outs he's gonna have to show me aces.

Re: 3/6NL: KK in 4-bet pot facing turn push
Why didn't you shove pre? It's not like he's folding anything he 4-bet w/ to a 5-bet. Only reason not to 5-bet is if you think you're behind his range, and if you think that, then why aren't you folding pre? The call preflop makes no sense to me.
Preflop If he had a range of TT+/AK, you should shove. If he had a range of JJ+, you should shove. If he had a range of QQ+, you should shove. If he had a range of KK+, you should fold. I think turn fold looks good. |

If he's 4-betting TT+,AK, I don't think he's calling TT or JJ, since 5-betting pretty much restricts my range to KK+ (especially since I've been playing tight). Anyway, I don't mind pushing the flop in position. It just so happens that the flop was bad. |
