Default Party Poker runs super slow

Running it slows my whole computer down to a crawl, even without PokerAce or any other programs running. The more tables, the more CPU it uses. Task Manager shows it using between 20-40 most of the time with 8 tables running. I'm using a Dell Inspiron 6000 and I have my DPI set to 96.

Have you tried running in 16bit colour?

I tried 16bit colour and it didn't seem to help. I went over the task manager again and it seems like it is a combination of PokerAce and Party Poker that is slowing it down, so I'm going to look into speeding up PokerAce. I don't have this problem at Full Tilt, so I'm guessing the Party software is a bit slower?

For SNGs at least Party has got slower and slower over the last 8/9 months... It used to be fine at the start of the year

party software has some serious memory leaks imho - makes it playing for more than 2h pretty impossible. im usually restarting the client once in a while - have not found anything more useful against the lag.
