They have this stupid policy that you need to write your own datamining script to be able to do it as they prefer to give advantage to ppl with good programming skills.
And also you better know that :

No it isn't, and to do so is against our terms of service. Datamining of
observed hands is strictly prohibited. Of course, you are permitted to
record hands in which you have actually played.

[/ QUOTE ]

You better make some fake accounts to datamine just in case they wish to ban you.

I know this isn't the time & place but their are some major ethical issues here - i.e. shouldn't we be berating and ostracising tcorbin16 and jsnipes28?

All that we have that seperates us from the scum like RayBornet is the T&C's. If we condone breaking one Term, then it becomes a moral free-for-all.

I dont agree with that.
If I played high stakes games there I would do everything to do datamine too as I would know that everybody else is doing it.
Stars T&C is just retarted and need to be changed.

Sorry not the time or place. Maybe I will start another thread to chat about this, in the internet forum.

It wasnt a shot at either of those players either -- I have done a little datamining on stars so I am guilty as the next man.

I agree the T&C's are retarded, but that's not the point..... Ray's whole argumant is exactly the same as yours: The T&C's are retarded, and everyone else is doing it!!!!

I won't play at pokerstars until they keep this stupid policy too. I know a huge part of HS players datamine, but I can' myself use another computer ...

I am totally agree with punter
