Default Stars 25+2 Turbo 9-handed. I can\'t understand bubble call.

Hello,
I posted some time ago an hand where I was spite called.. (before posting I didn't know the 'spite call' concept..)
I had many spite calls this period, but someone is really unexplainable for me.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t600 (4 handed) Poker Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

UTG (t4009)
Button (t4827)
Hero (t2214)
BB (t2450)

Preflop: Hero is SB with K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
2 folds, Hero raises to t2164, BB calls t1564.

Flop: (t3878) 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)

Turn: (t3878) 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)

River: (t3878) Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)

Final Pot: t3878
He won it with 9To

I'm pretty sure I didn't give impression to push ATC. I folded to him LOT of times with a wide pushing range because of terrible cards...
It was not a misclick.
He activated the timer, thinked about it and decided to call.
I really can't find how this can be +EV or a spite call.
I add he's a winning semi-regular.

Maybe people know I lose allins whatever I hold ?
I would appreciate your comments.
Thanks

Was he multi-tabling?

Keep in mind that if he was on quite a few tables he may have used up all his time, tilted because of another table and then called you out of tilt.

If he puts you on ATC then calling T9o is still not +EV but T9s would be okay
It's just a bad beat and a bad call by Villian as well.
Just make a note that he calls loose (even on the bubble)
He maybe realized that he gets pretty good pot-odds so he decided to gamble

Deal with it !

If you are pushing 66%, it's a break even call. Villain probably thought you're shoving ATC here or maybe slightly removed from that folding out the bottom hands in a ATC range here. This isn't a spite call, but rather what he takes to be a +ev call. FWIW you should be shoving ATC here if he calls top 45%. At 50% call range, shove top 92 (0.2 min edge).

You got in as an 84% favorite. I like your chances there 5 out of 6 times.

OP's range doesn't like that call, though.

The thing is : you have 3 BBs and if you're not shoving ATC here, you have a reaaaaaaaaaaally serious leak in your game.

Well, you two are the small stacks, with a significant difference to the other two players. He is looking for a confrontation with you, if anyone. If he folds then his situation really sucks.. Taking good pot odds, a half decent hand and your presumably huge pushing range I would call this as villain.
