fwiw the check i just received (dated 10/11/2007) is now from a different bank/payment processor than my older checks. previously they were from a corporation based in Escondido, CA, and now they are from a place in Quebec.

there are also two attached letters with the latest checks. one states:
"For best results when cashing a check: * Go to the bank where you have an established account * Bring 2 pieces of iD (preferably photo ID) * Ensure your account is in good standing" also it states there may be a 7-30 day hold placed on the check.
