NLCash (2/4) 3 bet bluff on turn good or bad?
I haven't been playing out of line yet, or if i have, I haven't been caught. He is also playing pretty straight forward. Reraising good hands from bb and all that. How often do you think he has a hand he can call here with?

solid bluff, I like it. If he ALWAYS 3balls AJ+ you look really good here. I'd guess he lays down a ton of aces, calls w 2 pair or maybe Ace+gutter.

with the amount he raised, he's not folding. if he had time to think about it, would he fold? maybe, but irl people don't checkraise that much and then fold anything that beats you

I think you're hoping he has total air here really. He could be raising you light there, but he led into you on the flop in a raised pot AND raised the turn on a board with tons of action on it. That seems like a lot to ask of someone with a complete bluff. I think he calls your turn bet with most pair and draw hands, so if he's raising, he's probably got the goods.

[/ QUOTE ] Ac and Tc are on the board and I have the Kc so I dont mind if he calls me with gutshot+flushdraw or pair + flush draw, if he is calling me with a draw he cant have a better made hand already i.e. KcJc, or KcQc. And i'm the favorite to win. I havent been getting out of line at all so he's definately going to fold most aces here. I think its relatively impossible for him to have a set here. He is reraising TT,KK,AA,AK a really really large portion of the time. If he has a big made hand I think its going to be KT,AT, JQ or two pair that hit on the turn. I probably get the two pairs that hit on the turn to fold...no ? |

Re: NLCash (2/4) 3 bet bluff on turn good or bad?
Let's not forget that our hero has many outs to beat a variety of hands. I think if you've got a nitty image then this play is fine. However if you've even shown any amount of aggression thus far, I'd stay away from bluffs like this.

This looks terrible to me. Did you bet the turn with the intention of 3betting a C/R? I check behind for sure. He's shown nothing but strength, I don't get it.
