Default Non alcoholic beer

My dad recently let it slip that he's been trying some near beers lately. He quit drinking a couple years ago after a nasty cancer scare. Are there any "good" brands? I'd love to ship him a case of something that sucks slightly less that the rest of them. I found http://www.tobp.com/review/nabrews.asp but I haven't tried any of the beers so I don't really have a frame of reference.

Any alkies around that have succumbed to the near beer devil?

Does it even resemble the beer taste? I find it hard to imagine....

Than again diet coke still exists too.

My dad told my mom that ha only drank beer because he loved the taste. So she bought him NearBeer.

A day or so later I saw him pouring regular beer in the NearBeer can.

I sometimes drink Becks NA when I'm out, and stuck with the car. There are a few reasons for this. I don't like drinking soft drinks. I dont like drinking too much juice because it fills me up and makes my stomach feel all acidy. Alternative is water, but then I probably either look like a cheapskate, or that I've drunk so much already that night that I'm forced to drink water. And then, if I'm trying to talk to a girl I don't want her to feel uncomfortable that she may be a little bit pi$$ed and I'm stone cold sober...so the Becks NA gives the illusion that I'm on her level

EDIT: Another thing, I like the taste of beer. Far more than coke or another soft drink

I drank NA's for ~8 years. While none of them come close to tasting like real beer, Bucklers NA made by Heineken was the best of the bunch.

Do you guys have a big selection of NA's? I'm pretty sure Becks NA is the only readily available one here (Ireland)
