Default Overpair on a paired board

Titan Poker 2/4 NL

Hero and Villain both have $400, no read on villain.

Hero is in the BB with 88

Villain limps UTG, button calls, SB calls, Hero raises to $16, Villain (UTG) calls, fold, fold

Flop (Pot: $40) 5-5d-4d
Hero bets $30, Villain raises to $120, Hero folds

Comments, standard?

Preflop is bad, I would lean towards checking with all those limpers, but if you are going to raise, you gotta make it more than 4x the BB. Flop is standard as played.

Reeeally? You wrap with 88 in the BB with 2 limpers? This is 6-max just so we're clear. I raise 90% in that spot!

Raising is fine, but you need to make it at least 24 if you're going to.

Would you do the same thing with JJ-AA in that spot, 24?

The amount to raise has nothing to do with what hand you have; it has everything to do with how many limpers there are.

I would think if you raise you need to make it 30+ here, im real happy to just take this down preflop. As played nothing wrong with the fold.
