Re: Recommend to me some PC games
PC gaming seems to be slowly becoming synonomous with MMO gaming. Anyhow, Fallout 2 is a great classic that wasn't on your list. If you haven't played it, you should definitely give it a try.

Re: Recommend to me some PC games
FPS:
Far Cry Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl FEAR & FEAR Extraction Point Doom III & Resurrection of Evil Action: Thief Series Splinter Cell Series Hitman Series Prince of Persia Series Max Payne 2 Deus Ex 2 RTS: Command and Conquer Series (The First Decade FTW) Supreme Commander Older RPGs: Fallout I Fallout II Baldurs Gate Series Icewind Dale Series Planescape: Torment Newer RPGs: Oblivion & Knights of the Nine/Shivering Isles Expansions Neverwinter Nights & Expansions (Diamond Edition) Neverwinter Nights II KOTOR II Stuff you may like depending on taste... Star Wars: Jedi Knight Series (3rd Person Lightsaber action) Empire at War & Expansion (RTS) Republic Commando (FPS) Battlefront I and II (FPS/Action) Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-Earth Series (RTS) Return of the King (Action) Random: The Godfather (GTA, Godfather Style) Fallout: Tactics (Action/Strategy) The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay (Action) Gun (GTA, Old West Style) Stuff I've heard is good but have yet to install/play: Command and Conquer: Tiberium Wars (RTS) Total War Series (RTS) Warhammer 40K Series (RTS) Company of Heroes (RTS) And for good measure, Upcoming... Bioshock Fallout 3 Half-Life 2: Episode II Quake Wars: Enemy Territory Crysis Unreal Tournament 2007 NWN 2: Mask of the Betrayer I don't play any sports/racing/sim type games so that's all I can think of off the top of my head. Plenty of good stuff out there, especially if you like some older stuff like I do. Also (this is purely my opinion obviously) if you've only played Baldurs Gate II, you should play the whole series, top 5 of all time IMO. Furthermore, Fallout I and II ARE the best PC games of all time. As you can see I play quite a lot of PC games, which is probably why I never leave the house and have yet to touch a woman. I'm kidding, of course. I leave the house all the time. |

Re: Recommend to me some PC games
I bought WoW and used the free month that it came with. It just expired yesterday I think, but since I've got final exams coming over the next two weeks, I stopped... hard to say if I'll renew over the summer since I don't usually like spending my summer time sitting around gaming, but MMO's, WoW especially, just seem to be not much fun without friends to play with who are online constantly.
Go for an RPG or RTS! |

Re: Recommend to me some PC games
You might like The Longest Journey, which was an adventure game in that mold that came out a few years ago. There's a sequel, Dreamfall, that I haven't gotten around to playing yet (mostly because I think my system is too outdated.) TLJ has some serious flaws - most notably, I'd say the puzzle density is slanted way too highly towards the beginning of the game, then gets markedly easier - but a fun story and solid voice acting, for the most part.
If you like turn-based, Master of Orion type stuff, I've been finding Galactic Civilizations 2 to be a pretty good time, and the expansion that just came out is supposed to add some nice depth. |

Re: Recommend to me some PC games
Last chance is spot on, I forgot Starcraft. I guess I assume most people have already played it.
However, if there is one post in this thread that you pay attention to, let it be Leapfrog's. |
