Default Party Poker $11 - Could I have got away from this? Or just unlucky?

Hi guys, could I have got away from my hand here, or was I just unlucky? Villain hasn't really done much up to this point, but appears quite solid. All comments on preflop, flop and turn play are welcomed

I think you played it great. Some might say your flop bet is a bit small, but I don't think it's a big deal since it's HU now. The turn push is standard after the flop action.

Out of position, would leading out post-flop assist in learning where Hero stands? I'm not sure I'm folding to a re-raise anyway, but it would at least help me narrow villain down to flush draw, AA or KK (maybe 88), or typical $11-er with Kx. From there I can better evaluate action on 4th street.

I probably go broke anyway but I think leading post-flop is only way to have a chance at gauging if you should get out.

I don't think betting out helps at all here. I'm going broke no matter what the "signs" say..(there is too great a chance that they are a donk)....it's just a matter of getting the most when you aren't beat, and the check/raise is the best way to do that IMO.

I'm currently at the 11s like OP, so I know very well the times I see KQo or A8o here - but at what level should we stop giving villain credit for living in donk-dom?

Also I fear giving the free card possibility to a flush draw.

Not really.

Hero bets out T500 on the flop and villian calls. Now it looks like we have the same hand or we're ahead of KQ, KJ, KT.

All the money gets in on the turn either way.

Looks very good to me. At the $11s, i'm probably pushing AK a lot preflop, since you WILL get calls from A7+.

But i think you played this hand perfectly, as did your opponent (excluding the waaay too small flop bet by him.) Nothing you can do here.
