1/2 Putting myself in sticky situations
I haven't played with villian before, but did take a pot off him with a float(he limp/called OOP and lead a 335board I called with KQs bdfd and he c/f turn), he's only been at the table ~10hands
I feel I've been cbetting too much lately, so decided I to just check the flop here with a modest draw that I'd rather not get c/r'd off of the turn is a brick, but he hasn't shown any interest, so I take a stab at it now(this may be a leak as its kind of tough to rep much here) on the river I hit a pair and decide to put a valuebet in, his c/r surprised me, there are a few draws that missed anyone like looking him up here? No way.
Villain always has JT if it makes the nuts |

Re: 1/2 Putting myself in sticky situations
naw too many 2 pair combos plus the chance villain is a slow playing moron makes this a fold

Re: 1/2 Putting myself in sticky situations
Do you not use a HUD bottomset? What's villains range? I don't see that many 2 pair combos that fit in a reasonable players hand. Only KQ, maybe Q9 but, that's pretty donkish don't you think?

Against an unknown, if you aren't c-betting the flop, I hate betting the turn. As played, fold river.

Re: 1/2 Putting myself in sticky situations
I don't mind a river bet here, I just don't like the size of it without a good read that villian is a calling donk. If you're comfortable getting a potsize bet in on the river, I like a much smaller bet on the river. You induce more calls from a worse pair or King. You also can induce a raise from a missed spade draw or whatever...and you keep it all relatively cheap at the end. I think something like a $10-$15 river bet would do this.

I don't like the bet on the turn. Almost every hand he holds has a piece or draw on that board.

Re: 1/2 Putting myself in sticky situations
I C-bet the flop 100% of the time here.
As played, I check behind river. |
