I think the better play would have been to raise the turn bet. This way you save money if he has j. If you raise the turn bet and he reraises you, you are most likely beat and you can throw the hand away. If he flat calls then your prob beat as well. The only hand you beat that are in his range are queens or a bluff. He prob 4 bets you on the flop w/ kings. Looks like he has somehthing like AJ to me. or maybe even a full house makes a lot of sence. nines over jacks. I think you save yourself money raising the turn tho but looking on the stack sizes, you dont have much fold equity. So maybe folding the turn bet would be a better play. Tough hand

This is a pretty gross spot - I think raise/folding the turn might be the way to go. As played the river is a must fold since you only really beat KK.

I like your line best. Re-raised pot unless he flopped Quads or a full house, just let him shove the river. You don't need to protect your hand. And, no one who takes this line is going to c/f river much. Nice hand IMO.

edit: Do what you did or shove turn. Either way. Don't fold.

11/11 over how many hands? If he is truly a nit, I would consider folding turn. Fold river as played.

The flat call on the paired board looks pretty scary. Without a pretty specific read I dump the turn when he leads.

Edit: missed the stats before I posted. 11 makes it a little more interesting. What hands does he call your raise that includes a jack?

I think his call oop with any J is bad, especially he plays 11/11. maybe it's because of our blindfight.

do u have him on a J? After a while I think the turn-donk-bet is obv a J. Do u agree?

You make life easier for yourself if you raise more pre-flop. e.g., say:

Preflop:

SB raises to $1.50, Hero raises to $8, SB calls $8

Flop ($16)

SB checks, Hero Bets $16, SB calls $16

Turn ($48)

Here you've got $38.25 left with a pot of $48, so you're committed anyway I think, so either shove or call a shove.

Obviously he is much more likely to fold pre-flop if you do this, but by trying to extract value from you Aces you've got yourself into a difficult spot against a tight player.

As it stands, none of your options look attractive on the turn, which indicates something went wrong earlier.
