This is a good point. Let them make a final, official statement in the mainstream media, and let's see how it holds up. They've already covered their asses by releasing this statement on a friday afternoon, with the disclaimer that it's not offical yet. Let's not be too trigger happy here.

As i understand it, KGC is as much in the juridiction of the prov police as any other company based in the province. However, the tenacity of police when dealing with "native issues" is usually much less.

Unless the Mohawk's desire is to bring in the police, i wouldnt expect much in the way of an investigation.

What would you have us say? They aren't Native Americans cause they're from Canada. Just saying "natives" is pretty ambiguous.

I remember watching a hockey game once where the trivia question was "who was the first African American player to do _______ in the NHL?" and they later had to correct themselves on the answer cause it was actually an African Canadian; we take "African American" for granted as a synonym for "black."
