Pretty standard.

Blinds are 200/100 I'm assuming?

But yeah, all streets very standard. Slightest way I might differ is to make it 5400 on the turn, but that's not really affecting play here.

You might as well push the turn.

There are a number of cards you don't like to see on the river, and if MP2 is calling your raise he should be calling all-in anyway.

Somebody help me out here, because this is an issue on which I suspect I have a big leak (but maybe it's just a difference of strategy).

I would definitely have raised the flop to 3k. Why? Because I have a huge tendency to see monsters everywhere, and my thinking would be something like, "Set, meh, I'll settle for 20% of my stack, and if he calls so much the better. But if he's got a monster brewing, he's g.d. going to pay to get it!"

You all said that OP's actions were completely standard, which means that I must be wrong here. Maybe I have a childish attitude from getting sucked out on too often, but my attitude is value bet, value bet, value bet.

Help me understand--am I a complete nit? If so, why?

I don't know if "nit" is the right term, but you're giving up a lot of EV by shutting opponents out when you're a major favorite.

CR'ing the flop will make most thinking opponents fold most hands you're ahead of ... notice, I'm not talking about making a play at somebody you suspect might come over the top when you hold a set, which is perfectly fine.

Don't play scared. If your opponent miraculously manages to catch up after paying an over-price to stay in,

a) you learn something ... good players are actually capable of getting away from strong hands when opponents unexpectedly catch up, and if you never get in that situation you're never going to develop the necessary reading skills, and

b) there's an other tournament starting in 15 minutes.

Is there anyone else who likes a reraise preflop. You are out of position with a decent hand that doesn't play well multiway. With your hand and the previous action I make it anywhere between 2,500-4000 over the raise of MP1. With that hand and your position you'd be happy to take down the 1400 pot ( before your raise).

I don't think that it was played wrong at all.
The only thing that you should have decided was how you were going to play the hand before preflop betting.
By this I mean, were you playing for the set? or going to go in strong with a preflop re-raise because you probably have the best hand pre-flop.
With the blinds at about BB200 (i'm guessing) if you go in strong you would know where you stand after the flop and should take the pot on a continuation bet if your 10's are high.
With the playing for a set, you hit a great flop and getting your whole stack in by the river is the best result you could possibly want.
Anyway just my 2 cents.
