Dealing with limpers.
Any ideas for hand ranges for raising limpers?
I play in loose games where you can have a nice hand like A9o on the button but a couple of people limp in front. I am a bit of a lunatic so I'm tending to raise them with the following, any thoughts? A5s,+A9o,+KTs,+KJo,+QJs,+JTs,+66. What about one limper? +A4s,+A7o,+K9s,+KTo,+QTs,+QJo,+JTs,+55. What's the hand when you may consider limping along? Although this dosent appeal! |

Re: Dealing with limpers.
[ QUOTE ]
A5s,+A9o,+KTs,+KJo,+QJs,+JTs,+66 [/ QUOTE ] Thats a tight range against 2+ limpers. I would often raise 22-55 and some suited connectors as well. (Under the right circumstances) [ QUOTE ] +A4s,+A7o,+K9s,+KTo,+QTs,+QJo,+JTs,+55. [/ QUOTE ] This is tight as well against 1 limper. I am adding any pair some more Kxs, K9o, Q9s,QTo, J9s, T9s, 98s, 87s. But it certainly depends on the limper and the blinds. |

Re: Dealing with limpers.
[ QUOTE ]
A5s,+A9o,+KTs,+KJo,+QJs,+JTs,+66. [/ QUOTE ] At a loose-passive table I often don't raise A5s-A8s against two limpers since many A9+ limps att those tables. I limp along looking for a twopair or better. I raise any two broadways suited or not and limp some suited connectors that I otherwise would fold. I usually don't raise 22-66 againt two limpers since they are multiway hands. [ QUOTE ] +A4s,+A7o,+K9s,+KTo,+QTs,+QJo,+JTs,+55. [/ QUOTE ] Against one limper I raise most hands I play. Both cases depends more on opposition than anything else, and I don't think you should have a fixed range of hands you play. Trust your reads and intuition. |
