Top Set vs Complete Fishtard
Didn't really feel like playing, then saw one of my all-time favourite buddies was in the game.
So far I've lost two stacks to him, a 250BB pot where he decided top and bottom pairs, no redraws was good enough to rumble against my middle pair (he hit his 2-outer on the river and my fistpump was ended when the pot mysteriously shipped his way). He also cracked my aces after it was all in when he 3-bet me out of the BB with KJT4ss and I 4-bet him. Anyway, I don't know what I thought of my play here. I'm reasonably confident of the river fold as he will call multiple bets with draws (esp. flush draws) and only gets aggressive when he has "made" hands. He also doesn't show any aggression on the flop if he doesn't have anything (ie. will raise preflop and then just check/fold the flop to you when HU). He can also fold out of turn occassionally. Bottom line is he's an occassionally aggressive complete fish retard. Re: Top Set vs Complete Fishtard
i would go for c/r turn here - of course you risk giving a free turn card, but even if he checks you keep the pot small OOP

This looks pretty good. C/R'ing turn would be a nice alternate.

Or does checking the turn show enough weakness for anyone to bet turn when checked to? |

Re: Top Set vs Complete Fishtard
in these spots c/r turn usually works better if you have been the prf and then cont bet, as from the callers point of view you have had your obligatory stab at a flop you 'missed', and he can now 'take it off you'.
i would still be tempted to try it in this situation however, even tho you have shown flop strength - in fact looking at the hand again i might be tempted to try for a c/r on the flop with this many players involved, which would leave me committed on the turn regardless of what came |

Re: Top Set vs Complete Fishtard
this looks like a bad spot to checkraise the turn, checkraise the flop makes some sense.

Re: Top Set vs Complete Fishtard
I'm relatively new to PLO but i would go for a c/r on the flop. bad? I don't really know how aggressive people are at 1/2 either.
