Re: Question
wow this was awesome. so i'm in discussion for a class and at the end people are asking stupid questions about the reading to which the answer would be obvious if they had opened the book (and in some cases if you just weren't retarded). it's like the last or second to last section before the final so i ask "is there going to be a useful study guide for the final and like not a terrible one like we had for the midterm?"
her response: "i didnt think it was terrible. in fact i wrote it" oops for someone who talks so little i sure find ways to make myself look like a douche really often btw i have raise/folded pf in limit holdem for 1 bet at least once. i raised blind on the button when quiet saleem was small blind and a tight player was big blind. since you dont know who quiet saleem is you should understand that if you are button on his bb you do not need to look at your cards when it folds to you. if he is sb you do not need to look as long as the bb will fold sometimes. anyway i raise, quiet saleem 3bets, i see like 92o and fold. i vaguely remember doing it another time but don't remember the situation. |

Re: Question
Scores--
Don't forget the dead money from the limper who already folded. There are some isolated stories of people raise/folding preflop in LHE for good reasons, but that was certainly not one of them. And sure as hell not when I'm the one 3-betting. --Nate |

[ QUOTE ] ***LOW-CONTENT QUESTION*** What's the biggest pot you've taken down preflop? My personal record comes from a live 20-40 game. Limp, raise, I 3-bet and all fold. --Nate [/ QUOTE ] This exact situation happened to me twice in one night back in the summer. What kinda idiot raises and folds to a 3bet preflop? [/ QUOTE ] Saw that on line after a few hundred thousand hands, but never live. Yet. |

Re: Question
"What kinda idiot raises and folds to a 3bet preflop? "
There used to be this young-ish jock-ish pale white guy in the HG 30 game who would do things like openraise his button and fold to a SB 3-bet. But I've raised and folded to a 3-bet before, it was something like A9 and the 3bettor had position and a range of like 3%. I've also had a good player fold to my 3-bet pf, although he had never seen me before and his fold was incorrect given my actual range. |
