Re: Is Multi-Tabling A Sign Of A Good Player?
[ QUOTE ]
If you come across a player online who is multi-tabling should that alert you to the thought that the player in question is a good player, who is maximizing his expectation or is it some fish to hasty to wait for a hand to finish? [/ QUOTE ] It can be any of the two, or somewhere in between, but in terms of probability, someone who's multitabling (3+ tables) is much more likely to be a winning player than someone who is not. Have in mind however, that most players are not winners, so that means a multitabling player isn't all that likely to be a winner. Also have in mind that being a winner doesn't really mean you're good, just that you're good enough to beat the rake. |

An average multi table player is better than an average player, playing one table.

Re: Is Multi-Tabling A Sign Of A Good Player?
I wouldn't use the fact if someone is multitabling as a tell. Neither would I use the fact that they seem to bring in your full stack at one table as a tell.
There are too many who knows that these facts can be used and do the reverse. But as I move around on micro stakes, I would say around 100 hands would make me think a player is good or just ordinary. Come to think of it, they are always ordinary. |

Re: Is Multi-Tabling A Sign Of A Good Player?
if someone is playing 8 tables and constantly reloading if not at the table max i always assume they are good. It is clear that the probability of them being good far outweighs them being a fish if they are playing so much and understand to reload alot

Re: Is Multi-Tabling A Sign Of A Good Player?
I usually assume a multi-tabler is tight. Could be weak tight or TAG, but I see very few real LAGS 8 tabling.
And they are less likely to spew chips. Bad multi-tablers usually lose chips one at a time. Obviously, someone multi-tabling probably has some level of poker competence, or else they will have a very short session. |

Re: Is Multi-Tabling A Sign Of A Good Player?
I don't know how this relates, but single table + even live is so slow and boring after you multi for a while.
Perhaps multi tablers = action degens? |
