Sorry, I didn't mean that he is physically talented. He has the most football specific talent in my opinion. That mostly comes down to awareness but also includes physical things like tackling.

It has to be one of the worst openings in recent history...

I don't think so at all. You've got an owner willing to pay up for the coach he wants and willing throw money into facilities, etc. He was also very willing to give Saban time to turn things around. You've got a very loyal fan base. Assuming you don't blow it up, you've got solid assistants.

Man, you're right about the defense. They're old and Taylor and Thomas have already been talking about retiring. Holliday and Traylor can't be far behind. But you've got Crowder and Bell, two young playmakers to build with. Their o-line stinks, but they've got a couple of young guys there that will probably end up being pretty good too. And they've got the two-headed monster in Ricky & Ronnie if Ricky stays clean this year. They've definitely got some big holes as well as uncertainty at the quarterback position. It won't be fixed overnight obviously, but it's not a bad job at all.

I'm not saying I wouldn't want the Job. Whoever goes there is just going to have a ton of work to do.

Arizona is a very young team with lots of talent, just not enough depth and with some very weak links that need to be filled in. Miami is a much deeper team, but they are old and their QB situation is a mess. Miami is heading into a rebuilding period, Arizona is recently rebuilt, and ready to head into a peak period.

If he does I feel bad for him. One year to turn a team around with all the issues they had was a tough gig. I feel like he was hired just to be a scapegoat.

ESPNews just said that Cowher is going to announce his decision on Monday and that sources tell them he is retiring. Not sure how credible it is, ESPN likes drama, but considering he only had another year on his contract I thought he was going to back next year. Do you think his career as a coach is finished?

If a team quits on a coach in his first year, I don't think he'll ever be able to gain their respect.

I've read a lot of rumors lately that he isn't actually going to retire but is looking to make more money and possibly coach somewhere else. People are thinking he might do a 1-2 year retirement and then sign a huge contract somewhere else or even coach a different team (like Miami?) next year.
