Monitor Troubles
So a new monitor I have recently stopped working on me. I think I have narrowed the problem down, but still looking for advice. Here are the facts:
1) I have updated video drivers, and my old monitor still works with my video card. Video card has two DVI-D outputs, one of which I have a DSUB adapter on for my old monitor. 2) When booting up my computer with both monitors hooked up, both will go to the windows boot screen, but once Windows starts up, the new monitor (DVI connected) goes to "no signal input" 3) When I hook my new monitor up with a DSUB cable, it works fine. Does this sound like my DVI cable was damaged and I have to get a new one? |

Re: Monitor Troubles
To isolate the problem further, test a known working monitor that uses DVI cable (not the one that might be having problems) with the potentially problematic cable. I don't have any experience using dual monitors, so I'll have to let someone else field the question from here.
