$1/2 UTG
Here is a hand that got me thinking about life.
All players have roughly $200 on the table. I raise to $8 with AKo UTG. I get called by MP1, MP3, and the BB. MP1 is supertight. I have only seen him play a couple hands in about 5 orbits now. Mp2 is quite tight also. BB is loose and aggressive. He is quite bad, loves his Ax, will bluff, and goes to far with his hands. The pot is $33 on the flop. The flop comes A85 rainbow and the bad BB checks to you. What is your bet size and why? |

Re: $1/2 UTG
$20 due to the uncoordinated board. Would bet more w/ 2 suits or if the two low cards were closer together. $20 should tell you where you're at w/o putting too much into the pot.

Re: $1/2 UTG
Bet $25. Fold to a raise from the middle guys. Shove if BB raises.

Re: $1/2 UTG
Not to say that I wouldn't bet $25, but $20 accomplishes the same thing and saves us $5 in the event of a set behind us. $1/2 live plays different than online, just control the pot until you get a lock and you want to drag the AQs and AJs along behind you FTW.

[ QUOTE ] c/c?????????????????????? [/ QUOTE ] You knew it was coming........ Why is that a good play? [/ QUOTE ] Both MP players are solid. WA/WB line might be OK against them. But more importantly: [ QUOTE ] BB is loose and aggressive. He is quite bad, loves his Ax, will bluff, and goes to far with his hands. [/ QUOTE ] Let's give this guy the opportunity to make some big mistakes. For the record, my knee-jerk play would be to fire $24 here. But since I'm not in the heat of battle and can think about it c/c just kinda stuck out as getting a lot of value in this spot. If checked to MP3 might try to take this nice pot down with a steal. Then BB might try to call down with Ax, or might be on a c/r with Ax, or might even recognize MP3's steal and try to resteal. I'm not folding to any action besides a bet and raise from MP1 and MP3. |
