Default 25/50 bluff

25/50 Villain is tight and seems to be thinking. Not a regular and doesn't know me and we haven't tangled.

7 or 8 handed.

He has 7000ish I cover. Folded to him in MP he raises to 200 I call with J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] on the button. Blinds fold.

$475 flop 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]k[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
he bets 400 I raise to 1100 he calls

$2675 turn 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
he checks, I think and check

$2675 river Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
He bets 1700 and I push fastish, making it $4000 to go back to him.

i dont think he will fold KQ, while you are repping basically 44/55. i prefer a follow through on turn

i also dont think one pair bets that river

I think the only hand he has here that he folds are AK and maybe KQ and I think that makes up a very small part of his range.

Eagles,

I don't really see anyone folding KQ here. Or AK. I mean, nobody's folding Aces here, so I can't see them folding AK very often either, really.

I think the hand you are folding out is something like KT squeezing out a thin value bet, but I don't think that's what you're up against enough to make this good.

eld, aces will call because he could be the one shoving KQ and they got aces and fours.

AK folds but i dont think AK ever vbs here

I think you are right. If I was jablue I would probably shove KQ on the river because I expect worse hands to call.

I think AA is a call here for villain while AK is not because KQ should be a big part of my range. AA>KQ>AK. I haven't done anything loose, crazy or stupid at this table and I have never played with this guy yet. Given my read, I have a hard time seeing how he could look me up with anything less than KQ and even that is tough, I think. My read could very well be off but that's all I got - he's mostly an unknown, but seems tight/solid.

Also I didn't follow through on the turn because a) I thought he had some AK/KQ type hand and was planning to call me down and people never give it up on the turn here b) I thought I could still represent 45/44/55 on the river if I checked the turn and stacks were good size for a bluff on riv.

edit: Eagles,
If I had KQ this hand I'm not so sure river is a shove after he bets into me. He could easily have AA and its a really tough call for him to make with anything less than KQ imo.

Ja,

I also much prefer a follow-through on the turn.
