Overcards
I've been running kind of bad lately and just want a little checkup.
Villain is usually an ABC TAG, but he's on tilt right now and has loosened up significantly. he openlimps UTG+1, I raise AhQh in MP, CO, button, SB, and BB all call, as does villain. flop: Th 5d 6d SB checks, BB checks, Villain bets, Hero ?? Can I call here w/ my overcards + backdoor draws, even with players left to act behind me? |

Re: Overcards
The pot's got 15 SB. I'd consider raising if I felt I could get a free look at the river or knock out some players with A5/A6 types of hands. That might be spewy though. At least call.

The second question then, is what is the right way to play now? I think that a raise is probably better than a call. |

Re: Overcards
Cleaning outs and increasing your equity. Good idea.
Do we have a plan if the turn bricks and he checks to us? Does a flop raise give us enough fold equity to try and blast through him? |

Re: Overcards
MP is loose and passive
CO tight and aggro Button is loose and aggro. SB and BB are both pretty new to the table so I don't have reads on them. Assuming I raise here, if one of them 3bets and villain calls, we're calling and folding a blank turn, right? |

Re: Overcards
Cool. I actually really like the idea of throwing in a raise here, as this gives the chance of folding out the rest of the field and cleaning up some of my outs.
In this particular situation, I just called, CO raised, Button 3bet, villain called and I frown and then muck. Of course after breaking even for the last month and a half leading up the my last 3 sessions where I'm down like, 40BB, the "should I have just saved my bet" question creeped on in. |
