It depends on the definition of "lost" but anything that would prevent the US from invading sovereign countries on trumped-up charges of terrorism and WMD, killing large numbers, alienating and radicalising many more, leaving the country in question in a state of anarchy and near civil war, and putting its development back a number of years would indeed be a good thing.

Well someone should at least link to the poll results. 900 people seems a little light for a nation wide poll, no?

Also, 74% of republicans praying for Bush is rather goofy IMO. Even though I am an atheist praying for a war seems to stand in defiance of what christians would stand for.

What does losing the Iraq war even mean? Like if you guys pull out tomorrow did you lose? Or did you win? Or was it a draw? What would a victory be? A stable Iraq? Democracy in Iraq? I'm not asking this questions as a joke or anything, I'm actually curious as to what "losing the Iraq war" means and why it would be so bad.

I guess if you avoid looking at facts that might be true.. But last I read, in the 2000 and 2004 elections, Bush got more favorable coverage on the 'liberal' news outlets than either liberal candidate. I am assuming since you read it you don't actually remember these elections? Fox leans to the right, but I don't think they try to hide it. Other news sources clearly lean to the left and deny it.

Exactly how did they help Bush in either 2000 or 2004? Perhaps it was by declaring the Gore won Fla before the polls were closed? Did you watch any of the 2004 coverage as the anchors became more depressed as it was clear their exit polls were flawed?
