Rackback vs bonuses vs both? Is this possible?
I've used search and have found nothing on this subject, but I doubt this is the first time this has been asked. I'm pretty sure I'm posting this in the right spot, but feel free to move it if it's not.
I'm new to online poker, and I don't think bonus whoring is for me (I could be wrong though). I believe rakeback is the best way for me to go, yet I would like to know if I can get a start-up bonus on top of rackback? What about the 2+2 book bonus, can I get that with a rakeback deal?

Yes. For example, on FullTilt, you can get RB and still get their 100% deposit bonus. Don't know about other sites, but I expect it's similar. I doubt you can get a Referral type of bonus and Rakeback, so be careful about that.

You still get your bonus, it's just deducted from your rakeback at most sites (it's like 100% rakeback till it clears). Rakeback is a percentage of the bottom line revenue you make the site, your deposit bonus takes away from the bottom line. Hope that makes sense :-)

Just remember, there are two different types of bonuses you are talking about here - sign-up bonuses that come from the site, and "kickbacks" that come from the affiliate you sign up through. You can only get a kickback OR rakeback, not both, but you can get the site's sign-up bonus regardless of whether you've received a kickback or rakeback.
In other words, you can NOT get the 2+2 books AND rakeback, but you will still get the site's sign-up bonus with either one.
