Default 2 decision playalong

Villain is 32/25/1.5 over ~35 hands.

PokerStars 0.50/1.00 Hold'em (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
2 folds, CO raises, 2 folds, Hero calls.

Flop: (4.50 SB) 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, CO bets, Hero...

I called PF because I thought he was stealing enough to make playing the hand profitable. I don't think that part of the hand really merits debate since it's pretty close either way. So let's stick to the flop play.

Second decision is more interesting than the first.

Xomg oops I selected "call" because I don't read much, and thought it was for preflop. Ignore my 1 data point on call.

I don't really mind just calling the flop because he's going to bet the turn like 100% of the time on this board. Raising is fine too. I almost want to cap the flop and bet/fold the turn.

Anyway as played, I say check fold the river, but it may be a check call. His range is really only straight draws. Either they're busted and can't call or they made a flush and win. Betting doesn't make sense.

Wow you are lucky to see that river because I assume you are giving up on it on the turn. I do not think he has a diamond here because he would have been more likely to bet the turn with a diamond. That or he is a total moron, if you have that read play this different. I would bet to take the bluff away from him and fold to a raise.

I bet, he thought for awhile and called with QQ, no diamond. I win the pot. Wha happened?! I figured he'd call with a J but wouldn't bet it, and that he would have bet the turn if he had a diamond. His checking of the turn is realy crappy. I guess he's a fish at heart...

That or he is a total moron, or just took a free card! If you have that read play this different. I would bet because he isn't likely to raise us without a hand that beats us and fold to a raise.
