Default PM Notification Problem

I am no longer getting the flashing envelope when I have a new PM. This has been going on for the last 2 1/2 days. Is this happening to anyone else?

i posted about this a few weeks ago.

This sometimes happens to me for a day or longer and then it goes back to normal.

Last time thought it lasted maybe a week. But it's been normal for me for the last few weeks.

I have no idea what causes this.

It sounds to me like the graphic that flashes did load properly, and is now in cache. Try a forced refresh (on IE this is Control-F5)

try this. Move the arrow to where the flashing is. Right-click. Do you get a dropdown that says 'Save Image as...' or similar? If so, the image is there but not flashing (and i9s almost certainly half-loaded, but not properly).

Okay, that'll be half the mystery.

If you then choose 'properties' from fruther down that list, and click that, you'll get a grey box with details. Highlight and control-c (ie copy) the url of the image, and put that in the url of your browser, and hit 'go'. This will force the image to refresh on your machine. you should then end up with just the flashing envelope on your screen. When you go back and then refresh, all should be well.
