Default I enjoy playing at TRUEPOKER, but I am kind of worried.

hey guys hows it going? Someone told me to come here with my situation. Anyway, my main site is Truepoker. I like the graphics and little avators, Im James Bond Anyway, I had an account there a couple of years ago, and I played on it a lot. Well, after the UIEGA law came into effect, I e-mailed TP to delete my account because I was scared of getting arrested. I had used my NETeller account to fund it. Well, my friend told me its not against the law to play poker, only to make deposits from your bank or something like that. I would like to go back to Truepoker, but I dont want my old account because its associated with my old NETeller and Firepay account ect... Would it be OK if I created a new account? Will I get my funds taken away like that one lady on fulltilt poker? I really dont want to be associated with my old NETeller or Firepay account because of the UIEGA. Thanks guys for all of your help and if I am not allowed to make a new account at Truepoker, where should I play?
Steve

From what I've read about it, the UIGEA made it illegal to make specific transfers for the sake of illegal internet gambling, which poker does not specifically fall under the category of. In other words, it's stuff like online sports-betting that's illegal, not poker. Also, they're not targeting players, they're targeting the companies that handle those transactions.

Also, the DoJ probably already has all your Neteller information. The only thing you should possibly fear is an audit if you haven't been paying your taxes. If you still want to create a new account instead of go back to your old one, you should e-mail TruePoker about this issue, and make sure it's OK with them. Although I can't say much for their support as I've sent them two e-mails before (I've never played there, but I was going to check it out) and never received a response. :\

Yes, he goes by the username "Truepoker CEO". Unfortunately, the last time I checked, his PM box was full, so you're going to have to wait until (if) he sees this thread.

My mailbox is perpetually full. The issue is for me has always been that I do not check it daily and left it full so that people would not think I was ignoring their messages. You can always reach me at management@truepoker.com or through support@truepoker.com.

(I'll ask Mason if it would be possible for posters to get email alerts when a pm arrives. If I knew something new was there, I would check for it.)

I've been getting email PM notifications since I signed up at 2p2... was that something that I opted into years ago?

When I sent an e-mail before, I sent it to the management@truepoker.com address and never received a response. However, I'll try sending one to the Support e-mail.

Also, to receive an e-mail notification when you receive a PM, at the top of the forum page, go to "My Home", near the bottom right click "Edit" next to "Subscribe / Unsubscribe from receiving forum posts by email, change message notifications, etc.", select "Yes" for the first option "Do you want email notifications when you receive private messages?", then click Submit. You will then be notified whenever you receive a PM.

I am going to e-mail support tonight. But my friend Brian told me to come here and ask, that you guys would be able to help me out. I hear TruePoker CEO is really cool, so I just tried to PM him, but his box is full. O well, just my luck lol.
