Indeed I met Durron. We tried to make complicated plans involving meeting in DC, but some dude stretched my one hour meeting at work into three hours so I drove up to Germantown. Seafood was great and we drank beers and talked. Mostly about baseball and 2+2. Party broke up after more beers at the Green Turtle, where we were tortured by a really extraordinarily bad cover band. Two fat chicks were covering songs by such timeless artists as Vanessa Carleton and Pink.

Durron is exceedingly normal, which doesn't lead to wacky trip reports as there was no gambling or heavy drinking. I was awoken at 5:00 am the next morning to drive to VA Beach so that is probably a good thing. I enjoyed it, now I have to meet some more of you. I am pissed I didn't realize that Chim was in Denver when I was there (does Nez live there too, or just root for the Rockies?). I am also out towards Hagerstown pretty often as well.

Seriously, anybody meeting me would be bored to suicide.

I do have an idea for those of us near the Baltimore/DC area to all go to an Orioles game next season (or Nats game but I imagine with the new stadium that could be tough).

Yes. My father, for example. He's actually a National League fan (hates the DH), so when Washington got a team, he started rooting for them over the O's.

(Plus, the O's left Hagerstown 14 years ago and my father never got over that either, even though IMO the O's did nothing wrong, the stadium here is trash and has been for a while.)
