What is a falcon? AKs are very solid weapons, durable, with good punch, but it's not nearly as accurate as an M16/M4. You can get an AK for as low as $350 online, and AR-15s usually for as low as $800.

IMO having a fully auto weapon is completely unnecessary anyways. In order to effectively defend yourself you need to have an idea of where your rounds are going downrange.Spraying a fully auto AK around isnt a good idea in virtually any situation.
The assault weapon ban doesnt apply to "automatic weapons", which is defined as more than one round discharged for each trigger pull according to most laws.

.50 cal handguns are what internet FPS players suggest you buy even though theyre extremely unwieldy and hard to control. Itd be stupid to buy one of those. If youre not experienced with firing assault weapons then dont buy one for home defense because overpenetration can conceivably be a problem. Theyre not ideal for it. Personally, as I have experience with assault rifles I'm very comfortable with using them so Im considering getting an AK or M4 for small game hunting and defense.

Doom is like the opposite of real life though. In Doom there is nothing more fun than killing a cyberdemon with a pistol (IDKFA obv, but nothing else). In real life assault rifles are the most ideal weapon pretty much always.

Buy an AR-15. Its a superior gun in almost every category. It will only cost you a few hundred dollars more than an AK. I own both and haven't shot the AK in over 2 years.
