Re: Questionable on every street
[ QUOTE ]
if it checks to co and he bets, i think maybe 5-10% of the time we're good [/ QUOTE ] Why can't CO have KQ or QJs here? Because of the turn check? Wouldn't most players bet those hands on the river after two streets were checked through? I think 5-10% is waaay low of an estimate if it's checked to the CO and he bets. I think you have to call one bet regardless of who it comes from (and fold to two.) |

Re: Questionable on every street
i said nothing of the sort. i'm just saying why TPMK doesn't really make sense here, though I'm not ruling it out completely. I do think that you have to heavily weight against that though (IOW if there are X combos of it and you want to stove it, i would take about about 90% of X)

Re: Questionable on every street
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] sometimes people say some really incredible things on this forum. for example, check folding this river. [/ QUOTE ] i said it to emphasize how bad i thought the bet was. what i want to happen on the river is a utg bet and co raise so i can make the easiest decision ever. if it checks to co and he bets, i think maybe 5-10% of the time we're good (0% if i'm co), so it's close at 13bb. if utg bets and co folds, i insta-call. if utg bets and co calls, i'd call too. [/ QUOTE ] agree 100% thanks for clarifying. |

Re: Questionable on every street
Well, this turned into a good discussion after a shaky start. The river, in general, is an area I need to work on. My instinct is often to immediately retake the initiative when someone gives it up and I feel like I have the best hand. In a lot of spots, this isn't a good thing.
In any case, results: UTG called and CO folded. UTG had K8 of spades MHING |
