Borgata Trip Report (LC - Probably boring)
I figured I would post this here since it is pretty much the only place I post. Feel free to move...
Anyway, I had off from work Monday and I was sitting around Sunday night and decided why not go to AC. So, I grab my brother and around 7:30 PM we hit the road. We get to the Borgata around 9:45 and try to get a room. Surprisingly, they are booked full [img]/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img] Oh well, since we want to get playing we decide to just go to the poker room and play through the night. Plus we have a friend with a room who is leaving at 6am and willing to give us the room for a few hours and then check-out for them. Considering they are booked, the casino seems very quiet and so is the poker room. We both get a seat right away at two different 1/2 tables. The table and the room as a whole is quiet. I buy in for $200 to get a feel (max is $300). I wait a few hands for my BB and get JT [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. Folded to the button who has a monster stack and claims to have been in the same seat for 24 hours. He seems pretty alert still though. Anyway, he raises and I fold. I would have turned a straight flush. Two or three hands later I get AQ [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] a few limpers and I raise to $10, 1 or 2 callers. I flop the broadway straight. Bet, I raise to pot, call. Heads up. Turn is a second king. Bet, I call. River brick, bet, I call. I lose to kings over jacks. Down a little over $100. I re-buy. Nothing eventful for a little while longer, I win a few, lose a few, then I double up with a set of 5's. Around 1 or 2 am, I play the biggest pot of my life. I have a little over $500 and a woman from a bigger game ($10/$25) that broke joins us waiting for another game and has me covered. During her fist round she is just bullying the table and running it over. She showed down nothing. Then I get A9o in the BB and she raises to $15 in LP as she has done most of her hands. I call. Flop 9xx rags. I check, she pots, I call. Turn is a rag completing the rainbow. No straight, no flush possible. I check, she bet $100 some odd. I think for a second and call. River is a 10. I check and she pushes. Up until now I am almost 100% positive I have the best hand. I think and say to her "Are you trying to make me go to the ATM?". She has her head in her hands and give me a weak nod and a "yes". That's all I needed. I say "f-it" and call. MHIG [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img] I now have almost $1100 and the whole table covered. She has about $300-$400 left. A few hands later I get into another big pot with her. I flop a set of 7's on a J high flush draw board. I bet, she raises, I push, she calls with J4 flush draw and hits the flush on the river [img]/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img] I would have loved busting this cocky bitch. Rest of the night was pretty uneventful, got to play some shorthanded when it got really late which was fun, since I consider that my best game. Ended up leaving at 4:30 am and making the drive home, exhausted but up $450. Fun trip though, and the games are even good in the middle of the night on a Sunday/Monday morning. P.S. I think the young guy on my left was a 2+2er. Anyone?

She certainly had the whole "these stakes are meaningless to me and I'm gonna show you noobs how to play poker, I don't even need cards" attitude. It wasn't "ha ha I'm donking around, take my chips". IMO, her sole intention was to bully and intimidate while she was there. Who knows maybe thats the image she wanted. Some other guy tried the same call down move with top pair not too long after my hand with her. She had KK that hand and busted him. I will say she definitely slowed down after my two hands against her. As a side note, I dont know how she came in with such a large stack. After my table broke and I got moved, I was only allowed to bring as much as the largest stack at the new table.

OP,
Usually when I play live when table breaks they allow you to bring your entire stack. Next time ask about the rules for confirmation, its for your benefit.
