spammer hit a bunch of forum

If he gets a few people a day, he's probably doing ok. I wouldn't be surprised if he's hitting a lot of forums. Most of which are a lot less effective.

He might not even realize how ineffective he is here. Probably just hits one forum. Then the next and so on until 2+2 rotates back. If the domain starts getting blocked, he gets another.

It's very likely to be a bot right? The infrastructure required to run something like this isn't that extension, I imagine...

I hate these, but sadly I'm starting to accept that it's a necessary evil on 2+2 now. I'm totally fed up with having to hunt out and delete 4-5 of these spam messages a day the past week.

This isn't just a bot, btw. He answered someone who quoted his spam this morning, and he tests the filter now.

Whoever it is has moved to using geociti[/i]es, a domain that wouldn't be fun to block permanently. But I am going to filter it for the time being. Hopefully he'll get discouraged soon.
