Re: Sometimes I bet - nut flush on paired board PL100
[ QUOTE ]
I raise this preflop, even from UTG and than I bet out at that flop. After the limp I would not 3-bet here preflop, because this gives your opponents to much information about your hand. [/ QUOTE ] This is exactly right. If you're going to raise, go ahead and do it first in. If you limp/rr it will turn your hand face up, which you don't want to do with any kind of significant stack behind. Bet less on the river. I actually wouldn't mind a 1/3 to 1/2 pot bet in this spot. Pot sized river bets work better if you're repping nuts or air, because someone can call you with something weak. Example would be you're PF raiser on the button, pot flop, check turn, pot river. In this situation, I don't think anything less than a K-high flush will call you here, and even then I think he'll think he's catching a bluff if he calls. |

Re: Sometimes I bet - nut flush on paired board PL100
The reason I don't bet UTG w/ AAxx is because at .5/1 Omaha whenever someone raises UTG, its AAxx a very high percentage of the time, making it much easier for your opponent to put you on a hand.
The button and SB have huge stacks, which I definitely want to get all of if I get top set or nut flush draw. So of course I want to play this hand, even OOP. Limp reraise in my mind is AAxx so much of the time that I'm never actually doing it with AAxx, especially with my stack size of 200 BBs. and agree bet less on the river. Alot of the time I just get in the routine of betting pot during a long session. |

I may bet turn depending on opponent and definitely bet the river.
