how about raise flop - knocking out the lag and giving yourself a free river if needed.

This is what I was thinking. If he (BB) has an 8, he will often look to take a stack a donk line giving you two cards to crack him. If he checks If by river you are unimproved You may also bluff at the pot (depending upon the card ofcourse).

doesn't bb have a 6 here like 65% of the time? giving u more possible outs.. plus its a small bet.. i dont get it

I think having the bad LAG to act behind you actually improves your hand unless he is very likely to raise light in this kind of spot.
