The money certainly is sweet but when I read "TV Production Company" I get a sneaking suspicion that the usual suspects will be invited to play for free while everyone else has to do their time to get in. Hell, I'll still take advantage of the offer but it would be nice to know upfront, if it will truly be a freeroll for others.

The rules that are posted do include that no more than 30 players from venues outside of NV will be placed into the tournament.

I do not know exactly what that means. Is it that other casinos will be sending players? or will there be drawings? but as I say, unlike thenetian, this is in the posted rules.

Maybe the Palms is trying to attract the grumpy local rock nits to their room so the hotel guests will avoid the poker room in favor of playing the more profitable casino games.
