How come when a thread is locked for spamming the link included is not removed. For example, this thread. And the same one in NVG. I've seen this in other spam threads too. The spammer doesn't care if he is banned or that the thread is locked as long as his link is out there. People WILL click on it.

When a spammer posts in multiple forums, the first mod that catches it can only ban the spammer and delete the spam from their own forum. This particular spammer has been spamming excessively for a few days now, and the situation is being handled.

Usually, the mods will take care of the leftover spam in their forum when they login, or an admin will do a mass cleanup when they login, whichever comes first.
