For Hiphop:

Wu-Tang Clan: 36 Chambers album

Seriously the best hiphop/rap album I've ever heard.

Other classis are NWA - **** the Police and Straight Outta Compton

Alternative : Smashing Pumpkins, Bush/Bushx (Razorblade Suitcase album very good imo), Rage/Audioslave ....

good luck

And Biggie >>>>>>>> Jay-Z. They're not even in the same stratosphere.

[/ QUOTE ]

Though this posted has the makings of a mohran, I mostly agree with this (not that it's really a slight on Jay-Z to say that Biggie is much better.)

To OP, if it's for a chick, she probably doesn't want anything too 'hard' so...

"Juicy" - Biggie
"Work" - GangStarr
"Wait (CLEAN VERSION IS IMPERATIVE" - Ying Yang Twins
relatedly, for some reason, chicks LOVE "Get Low" by Lil Jon
"Change Clothes" (off the Grey Album) Jay-Z and DangerMouse

Your kidding right? Moment of Truth or Royalty maybe but Work is a straight up banger.

And girls always went wild in the club when 'Put in your Mouth' from Akinyele (sp?) went on. Vile as hell but it's a fun song.
