Default J9o call down: LIM CASH

heads-up limit hand, this guy appears to be decent heads-up and a little on the passive side PF. Nevertheless, he's only folded maybe 3-4 hands out of 80. He doesn't fold too much postflop either and he isn't afraid to put on the gas a bit sometimes, but I've been in the driver's seat the last few hands.

I have J9o on the button and I raise, he calls.

Flop: T [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 7 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

He checks, I bet, he raises, I call.

Turn: 2 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

He bets, I call.

River: Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

He bets, I call.

edit: sorry, I didn't clarify before shiraz's reply that this was a limit cash hand.

i'm torn on the turn call, but without specific numbers it's hard to say. but after all that action, unless it was a tiny bet, i'd definitely fold to his river bet. the only reason i could see calling it is if he's really shown to bluff super hard on multiple streets before or if you think it's worth the money to find out if he is or not. and if it's information you're after, i would reraise on the flop or raise the turn. it'd probably be cheaper, make him a little more weary of being too aggressive, and you might even get him to fold an Ace high or even a paired 2 or 4.

I'd have a hard time ever justifying the river. Turn call is pretty chancy too. 5-1 with a gs and some pair outs that seem to make him a lot of better hands.

truth

if villain a) crs flop a lot so his range isnt super strong and b) doesnt cap a lot then u should 3bet.

u can represent more hands and occasionally induce a bad fold. ur hand also does have some showdown value ui so theres value in being offered a free showdown on the end

These things tend to make an odd combo.
