It was Manuel's decision to fire Bombard who was a much better third base coach (well not that it takes much). The problem was Bombard and Varsho would give Manuel suggestions, Manuel would ignore them, then when everything would blow up Maunuel would act all confused. Bombard was also a very successful minor league manager with alot of these guys and Manuel saw him as a threat.

I have a bet with a friend, and I can't seem to find the best place to look up the stats on this.
How many NL pitchers (with 10 ABs or more), have a better batting average than Pat Burrell? (Basically where is there a list of just pitchers and their batting records - I can sort out the AB's)
