Default Firewall question

Hey,

I'm in Afghanistan. They have a firewall for the wireless internet that blocks all gambling related sites amongst other things.
I can't connect to my poker programs because they all require the latest updated software and I guess when it automatically tries to download it the firewall blocks it.

If I was able to install the latest software to you think I'd be able to play?

I'm not in Afganistan, but they block the poker sites where I am.

I can play though because I have the client installed. But it might be different where you are. I'd say it's worth a try.

pretty slim chance. Most of the sites use names instead of IPs to connect to their servers, which are likely all blocked.

You'd need a VPN or some sort of proxy to play poker.

i got it working. i had to set up an email at inbox.com because they allow attachments larger than 10mb, and also allow POP3 access. then i got my buddy to email me the fulltilt file. then i used outlook to check the mail and download the file.

once it was installed it worked fine. only stupid thing was the next day fulltilt updated there software so i had to do the whole process over again.

oh ya,

UB works as well using the same process. Stars won't work, and Party connects but it won't let me login because it says something about gambling legislation in my region.
