I just wanted to bump this to see if anyone else had a schedule they wanted to share.

I'm thinking of copying what matt is doing to some extent, since I realized even though the limit events are important to me its just too far to fly twice to go back and play the me.

anyone have details on bellagio cup or other competing events (hopefully any limit events)?

im thining of playing the limit shootout on monday and if I lose, just play the Tuesday event, followed by the me.

Default Limit Events

I'm playing in the WSoP Event #11 $1.5K Limit on July 6-8, since Absolute Poker was kind enough to transfer the No-Limit seat i won to a Limit event, even though they don't run satellites for Limit.

For a warm-up, i planned on entering the Orleans Open $225 Limit event on July 2-3. They have some other Limit events available.

Searching LasVegasVegas.com Caesar's Palace has $120 Limit tourney at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesdays (with one $100 re-buy), though that conflicts with my schedule. I think that's about it for pure Limit Vegas tournaments aside from some small buy-in ones far away (Arizona Charlies, Sunset Station, Virgin River). The regular Orleans weekly Limit tournaments aren't being run while the Orleans Open takes place.

There are other tourneys that are Limit for the first hour and then revert to No-Limit, but those don't seem to be any more useful for practice than standard NL tourneys.

I'm definitely in for the ME and I've won $1500 in tourney chips from Full Tilt. Soooo I'm going to play SOMETHING else, but I don't know what yet.

I have summer school until the end of June. After that I'm free to travel, but that depends hugely on how well I do in the interim. If I make lots of money and can afford to play lots of events I'll be there sooner obviously. Ideally I'd like to be there July 6, play the 2500 NLH on the 7th, and go from there. Playing mostly NLH (although I would definitely play the stud hi/lo and razz events as well).
Worst case scenario I play the 1500 NLH on the 25th and the ME and nothing else.

The actual-factual end scenario will probably be somewhere in between.

I think I'm arriving in Vegas (driving from Seattle) on July 16. Don't know where I'm staying that first week. July 23 I check in to the Gold Coast, July 30 I move to the Rio for the Main Event (hoping I get my requested July 31st start date).

I got a good deal on the Gold Coast by using travelaxe (which always pointed me to travelworm.com for the best rate) and then just calling the Gold Coast and getting them to match the rate. Paying $38-44/night weekdays and $96 weekends.

I have a ME seat (through bodog), and I'm hoping to play a couple of the cheaper NLHE events - event 37 on the 25th seems like a clear choice.

What's the "Bellagio Cup"? Post details if you have 'em.

Any plans for a 2+2 convergence?

What's up guys? I will playing in event 13. It's the 2500 NL Hold em tourney on July 7th. I will be staying at Imperial Palace 7/3-7/10 (cheapest on the strip, located across street from caesar's). I paid 560 for 7 nights on the strip. Oh by the way, first time to Vegas for me.

Bump to try and get more info on the live satellites. I'm going to be there from july 1 - July 9 now and will spend some of that time after Event 6 (2000 NLHE) playing live sats, either to get into the limit events that week (holdem, stud, omaha/8) or to use for the events I'm playing later (possbly the 2500 NLHE on the 7th, definitely the 2000 NLHE and 1500 PLO the following weekend).

So my questions about the single table satellites for anyone who has played them in previous years:

1. The WSOP website is vague (doesn't state buyin and says "winner gets tournament chips + cash). Do the satellite buyins change depending on what event is the next day (if so, what's the buyin for 1500/2000/2500 event days)? Are they all winner-take-all (officially), with people usually chopping? Prize is mostly lammers that can be used for any event, plus a little cash?

2. Structure? I thought I saw somewhere that said 1000 chips, 25/25, 25/50, 50/100, 100/200... I'm guessing it's more or less like the Party Speeds, if we're lucky.

3. Quality of play? If we're going with the assumption that the structure is like the Party speeds, what level are these equal to? 33s? 55s? 77s? 109s?

I haven't booked my flight yet or my hotel. I have a hotel room during the ME for sure.
I'd like to get in in time to hit this schedule:

10-Jul-06 Monday 12 noon 17 No-Limit Hold'em (3 day event) $1,000.00
13-Jul-06 Thursday 12 noon 21 No-Limit Hold'em- Short handed 6/table (3 day event) $2,500.00
14-Jul-06 Friday 12 noon 22 No-Limit Hold'em (3 day event) $2,000.00
16-Jul-06 Sunday 12 noon 25 No-Limit Hold'em Shootout (3 day event) $2,000.00
17-Jul-06 Monday 12 noon 26 Pot-Limit Omaha (2 day event) $1,500.00
18-Jul-06 Tuesday 12 noon 27 No-Limit Hold'em (2 day event) $1,500.00
20-Jul-06 Thursday 12 noon 30 No-Limit Hold'em- Short handed 6/table (3 day event) $5,000.00
21-Jul-06 Friday 12 noon 31 No-Limit Hold'em (3 day event) $2,000.00
22-Jul-06 Saturday 2:00 PM 33 Seven Card Razz (2 day event) $1,500.00
24-Jul-06 Monday 12 noon 35 Seven Card Hi Low Split (2 day event) $1,000.00
25-Jul-06 Tuesday 12 noon 37 No-Limit Hold'em (3 day event) $1,500.00
28-Jul-06 Friday 39 No-Limit Texas Hold'em World Championship Event $10,000.00

The only questionable one is the 5k 6-max because 5k might be a little much. Again it all depends on how much I make by then and how well I do in the satellites.
