.

River: ($53.65) 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players, 1 all-in)

Final Pot: $53.65

I'm relatively new to FTP and I feel like I get in this situation a lot. My success varies, but is there something I should've done differently? I'm very open to suggestions.

Thank you,
Andy.

Min raise on flop is bad. Shove flop is better. That gives you maximun FE and you don't have to worry about whether to fold. As played, you can't fold for $6. You are definitely getting odds to call.

Can you explain what your flop plan was? Almost seems like you want a call?

The button raise could be a very wide range, does the fact that MP limped in make you more inclined to fold, or are you always mucking AJo from the blinds to a button raise?

Fold flop with the nut flush draw and two overs (discounted because villain might show up with a set)? Is this because you think we have virtually no fold equity against an over pair, and hence are flipping or way behind? I guess this is villain dependent, if they can't fold a weak overpair the only hands we benefit from folding out are AJ+.

Definitely check raise all in if you're gonna check raise.

Edit: I like a CR all in on the flop, we don't mind a free card if the villain checks behind, and we would ideally like to put the last bet in to maximise FE. Folding flop would be a big mistake IMO, there's enough dead money in the pot to justify getting it all in.

Against a wide range which allows the BB to have called preflop with small PPs which made sets:

equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 42.977% 42.17% 00.81% 21291 408.00 { AhJc }
Hand 1: 57.023% 56.22% 00.81% 28383 408.00 { 44+ }

Against a tight as range of QQ+:

14,850 games 0.005 secs 2,970,000 games/sec

Board: 7h 6h 4h
Dead:

equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 43.414% 42.40% 01.01% 6297 150.00 { AhJc }
Hand 1: 56.586% 55.58% 01.01% 8253 150.00 { QQ+ }

We are risking 23 to win 31, it's borderline but with a bit of FE it's just +EV. Hooray for dead money.

he's new to the game and without strong reads there's no way i'm playin back OOP w/ AJo. god who doesn't hate that hand.

on flop board is super duper uber wet and he bet the pot. i can't ever recall a villain folding in that kind of situation. and i sure as hell don't want to play for stacks with a nut flush draw...

Given the pokerstove results above, would you say it's ok to get it in on the flop? Would it be better to lead the flop to maximise FE do you think?

Also, you're right about preflop.
